When I work with my full-service design clients, it all begins with a mood board. For my client’s Carrie and Oliver and their Bacara Wedding, we actually began with more than 3 mood boards. I made one board showing them all the things they were telling me they thought they wanted in their wedding, one board showing them what I think they are “really” wanting, and 1-2 wild cards. Once we got down to one, we fiddled and adjusted it for a few weeks until we finalize it. Every decision from then on goes through the mood board filter. Carrie and Oliver’s wedding is next month, but our final board was finished over 7 months ago!
I am not going to tell you which one was their final board yet, but here are some of the originals and our final. During our last walk-though, we all laughed at how accurate the mood board is going to be to their final event. Can you guess which one?
