When I was ready to start booking in Chicago – I have to admit I was a little afraid of where I would end up. I have grown accustomed to the ease of outdoor weddings in Los Angeles and Malibu. Eclectic venues are in abundance on the west coast and all I had remembered about Chicago weddings were large ballrooms with fabric covered chairs… and winter.
So, it was absolute fate when this beautiful bride Sarah needed a wedding planner and her wedding was set to be at Salvage One. After the first walkthrough I was in LOVE. I mean it is like they picked up an antique store in LA and dropped it off in west loop. I was home.
The wedding went off without a hitch, and I have kicked off my Chicago wedding tour with one of the coolest venues out there. In addition, I hit the vendor jackpot on this one. FoxGlove flowers is ahhhmazing and truly made me obsessed with winter garland. Sue from Food Evolution catering was a dream to work with and DJ Rachel from Toast & Jam restored my faith in wedding DJs. Thank you all! I am stoked I already have a few more in the books at this amazing place and hope I will have some of the same crew.
Check out a few of my favorites from this gorgeous wedding below with pictures from the ridiculously talented Stephanie Bassos.
